We loved having Dr. Powe visit! All too often, the work that we expect our students to do is dry and has no relevance to their lives. Not only did she bring the Native American Culture to life for my 5th grade students, she infused them with an incredible desire to see the exhibit... George Catlin, who was a name in a book, became a real person to them... Thank you again for the visit and for the enthusiasm that it brought to New Chelsea Elementary School.
Teri Fulton, fifth grade teacher, New Chelsea Elementary School, Kansas City, KS
This presentation really generated a lot of interest in our classes. Dr. Head was a very approachable speaker. He knew his audience well and his talk was geared towards them. This is what made it so successful. We truly appreciated his visit!

We all loved Dr. Robinson's presentation. He was wonderful and really kept them [the students] interested the entire hour. Thanks for giving us this opportunity.

Thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful events you brought to Harold Oliver, Gilbert Park and Lane [area schools]. ALL of the coordinators were very impressed with the presentations. The schools were thrilled and the kids thought it was 'AWESOME'. I can't thank you enough for this wonderful opportunity for our students.

Dr. Everett was fantastic. The students were engaged. She adjusted the presentation to meet the different groups and their previous knowledge. You could see that the students wanted more and more of her knowledge. I have seen and been associated with many presentations. This project was so well organized and planned and so very appropriate for the students. I say a big thanks to all of you... Very worthwhile. I think the Fulton County children were fortunate to have this experience.

Just a note to express our appreciation to you and Ms. Kidwell for such an enriching series of presentations. Both staff and students expressed a real appreciation for the expertise and experience we were privileged to share. Your teaching/outreach program is a wonderful feature of the Smithsonian.
